Quantification and qualification of amplifiable DNA by the QIAseq DNA QuantiMIZE System rescues low-quality FFPE samples for NGS analysis. Use of the QIAseq DNA QuantiMIZE System (lane 1), but not spectrometry methods (lane 2), resulted in high-quality libraries that were successfully sequenced on a MiSeq.
The QIAseq QuantiMIZE System ensures successful library yields and sequencing metrics from FFPE samples. DNA from 15 FFPE samples was isolated and the same DNA was quantified by either spectrophotometry or QuantiMIZE. A) Library yield: NanoDrop, a spectrophotometric method, has limitations in quantifying functional (amplifiable) DNA and results in inconsistent library yields. B) Specificity of reads: QIAseq DNA QuantiMIZE system reliably quantifies functional DNA input and ensures successful NGS runs with every sample.
The QIAseq DNA QuantiMIZE System utilizes 2 qPCR assays that interrogate 20 genomic loci to determine the amounts of amplifiable DNA in biological samples.
